On June 19, 2019, Armando Barucco, Director of Department of Political Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy visited Russian International Affairs Council.

The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Italy, the possibility of achieving progress in relations between Russia and the European Union after the recent elections to the European Parliament, the prospects for Russia-Europe cooperation in resolving conflict situations in the Middle East and North Africa.

The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Italy, the possibility of achieving progress in relations between Russia and the European Union after the recent elections to the European Parliament, the prospects for Russia-Europe cooperation in resolving conflict situations in the Middle East and North Africa.

The Italian diplomat was informed about the results of the recent joint projects between the Council and its Italian partners, about the plans for RIAC research activity on the Italian vector in 2019–2020.
