On March 19, 2019, Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (Colombo, Sri Lanka) hosted a round table on the interests of Russia in the Indian Ocean region. Ksenia Kuzmina, RIAC Program Manager, made a keynote speech at the event. Kuzmina became the first Russian expert to speak at this analytical center.

On March 19, 2019, Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (Colombo, Sri Lanka) hosted a round table on the interests of Russia in the Indian Ocean region. Ksenia Kuzmina, RIAC Program Manager, made a keynote speech at the event. Kuzmina became the first Russian expert to speak at this analytical center.

The round table was moderated by Asanga Abeyagoonesekera, Director General of the Institute. The meeting was attended by experts of the Institute, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka, the armed forces of Sri Lanka, and the diplomatic missions of Malaysia and Indonesia.

On the margins of the event, Kuzmina and Abeyagoonesekera discussed opportunities for cooperation between the Council and the Institute.
