On Monday, February 5, 2018, Russian Center of Science and Culture in Warsaw hosted a presentation of «Russia’s Foreign Policy: Looking Towards 2018» report made by Ivan Timofeev, Director of Programs, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), for the representatives of Polish expert community and journalists.

On Monday, February 5, 2018, Russian Center of Science and Culture in Warsaw hosted a presentation of «Russia’s Foreign Policy: Looking Towards 2018» report made by Ivan Timofeev, Director of Programs, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), for the representatives of Polish expert community and journalists.

The Russia’s Foreign Policy: Looking Towards 2018 report (the key theses are listed in the online version) reflects the results of the work conducted by the Working Group for Forecasting. A systemic approach has been taken to identify the most important areas of Russia’s foreign policy for 2018, as well as the key threats and opportunities for the country on the global arena. The geographic scope of the forecasts covers the West, the Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the post­Soviet states.

Ivan Timofeev: «The authors hope that the ideas and conclusions provided in this report will be of use to the Russian authorities when making foreign policy decisions, and will come in handy for experts in international affairs, researchers and journalists. We are making a presentation of an important text today looking forward to a serious professional discussion».

Igor Zhukovsky, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Poland: «We have held a number of expert meetings with Polish partners today — both on the site of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Warsaw and in the Casimir Pulaski Foundation. The creation of dialog platforms for professional communities in the areas of culture, education, and scientific research is our priority in the context of complex dynamics of bilateral intergovernmental contacts».

Representatives of Warsaw University Institutes, foreign policy expert institutions, and journalists took part in the meeting.
