On December 15, 2021, the IV Moscow Academic Conference “Asia and Africa at the Crossroads of Tradition, Modernization and Globalization” was held at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The meeting was organized by the Center for Study of Common Problems of Contemporary East of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RAS.

On December 15, 2021, the IV Moscow Academic Conference “Asia and Africa at the Crossroads of Tradition, Modernization and Globalization” was held at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The meeting was organized by the Center for Study of Common Problems of Contemporary East of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RAS.

Within the framework of the meeting, there was a discussion on the issues related to security and development in the countries of the East. During the conference, participants discussed key socio-economic and political trends in Asia and Africa.

Ivan Bocharov, Program Assistant at the RIAC, took part in the conference. His report was devoted to the impact of the Libyan conflict on regional political dynamics.
