High-level experts from Russia, the U.S., France, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Iran, China, and India took part in the discussion. The discussion focused on the latest trends in political development in the Islamic Republic of Iran in advance of the presidential elections in the summer of 2021, the changing balance of power between reformers and conservatives, possible shifts in Iran's position on regional security challenges, and possible prospects for the "modernization" of the JCPOA. Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, Irina Zvyagelskaya and Elena Suponina, RIAC Experts, represented Russia at the discussion.
