On September 21, 2021, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and Third Generation Environmentalism (E3G) held workshop (chatham house format) on green agenda approaches and energy transition. The workshop was organized within the framework of the sixth round of the project “A New Agenda for Russia–UK Relations”.

The goals of the meeting were to discuss the interests of Russia and UK on climate change and energy transition, to seek convergence of positions on key issues of the bilateral environmental agenda. Within the framework of the workshop two sessions were held. The first session was devoted to the interests and positions of Russia and UK on the Decarbonization of Economies. The second one was dedicated to the on the possibilities of cooperation in the field of climate change and energy transition.
