On October 26 Aspen Institute in Berlin, Germany, hosted an international conference «The World in 2025 – Germany’s Role and Partners in a Shifting World Order».

The conference focused on the evolution of the modern international system, including the crisis of liberal «rules of the game», resurgence of nationalism and populism in foreign policy of the great powers, the new understanding of sovereignty, interdependence, intervention in the domestic affairs, etc.

Over 100 experts, diplomats, journalists, and public figures from Germany and other European states, from the USA, India, and China took part in the conference.

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, made a conference report about the ongoing discussions in Russia on the future of the liberal world order.
