On August 18, 2026, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), jointly with the National University of Sciences and Technology (Islamabad, Pakistan), held a roundtable titled “Russia–Pakistan Partnership in Cybersecurity: Challenges and Opportunities.”
During the event, Russian and Pakistani experts discussed Russia’s and Pakistan’s priorities in cybersecurity, opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in this area, as well as Moscow’s and Islamabad’s approaches to digital governance.
The participants were welcomed by Saqib Anjum, Deputy Dean of the Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership at the National University of Sciences and Technology, and Dmitry Kiku, RIAC Deputy Director General.

The meeting was concluded by Hassan Jalil Shah, Director of the Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership at the National University of Sciences and Technology, and Gleb Shubin, Attaché for Science and Culture at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The discussion was moderated by Gul Ayesha Bhatti, Associate Professor at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, National University of Sciences and Technology.
