On March 13, 2014 RIAC hosted a meeting with experts from the Chinese Academy of Contemporary International Relations (CACIR) and the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. The CACIR was represented by its President Ji Ziye, Feng Yujun, Director of CACIR Russia Institute, Ding Xiaoxing, Head of CACIR Central Asia Department and Chen Yu, CASIR research fellow.

Opened by RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, the workshop focused on Russian-Chinese relations, the role of China and Russia in the changing global environment, and approaches of the two countries to handling acute international problems including the Ukraine crisis and territorial disputes in the Asia-Pacific.
RIAC and CACIR experts underlined the significance of establishing a relationship between the two institutions and developing bilateral cooperation for better understanding of Moscow and Beijing stances on current international issues.
