On September 18, 2019, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) hosted a meeting with a delegation of Chinese experts.

The experts noted current rapid developing of Russia — China relations and similarity of the approaches to maintain world peace and strategic stability in the Asia-Pacific. They also highly appreciated the efforts of Moscow and Beijing to deepen cooperation through exchanges at the diplomatic and expert levels, including such frank discussions.

On September 18, 2019, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) hosted a meeting with a delegation of Chinese experts.

The delegation from China, led by Yu Hongjun, Vice president of Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament, Former Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China, included leading experts from the Institute of Contemporary China and the World Studies, the Center for Russian Studies at the East China Normal University, the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Center for Foreign Affairs of Xinhua News Agency.

From the Russian side, the meeting was attended by Alexander Kramarenko, RIAC Director of Development; Oleg Paramonov, Senior Research Fellow, Center for East Asian and SCO Studies at MGIMO University, Associate Professor, Higher School of Economics (HSE); Alexey Stepanov, Research Fellow, RAS Institute of US and Canadian Studies; Vasily Kashin, Leading Research Fellow, RAS Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES), HSE Senior Research Fellow; Yury Kulintsev, IFES RAS Research Fellow and Ksenia Kuzmina, RIAC Program Manager.
