On June 13-14, 2014 Venice hosted a workshop aimed at discussing the present and future of the European Union in the changing world. The event was sponsored by the Consiglio per le Relazioni tra Italia e Stati Uniti (The Council for the United States and Italy).

On June 13-14, 2014 Venice hosted a workshop aimed at discussing the present and future of the European Union in the changing world. The event was sponsored by the Consiglio per le Relazioni tra Italia e Stati Uniti (The Council for the United States and Italy).

The workshop was attended by Italian businessmen, officials, diplomats, civil society and think tank leaders, journalists and politicians, as well as by experts and businessmen from other EU countries and the United States.

RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov addressed the audience with the report "The Russia-EU Relationship against the Backdrop of Ukraine Crisis and Future Italian EU Presidency: Limitations and Opportunities."
