On 1–4 March, 2022, the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) in cooperation with the Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation and the Russian-Tanzanian Cultural Centre in Dar es Salaam is holding the conference. The topic of the meeting is “Leadership and Power in Africa in the Past and the Present: Studies in Russia, Tanzania and Beyond”.

The conference was opened by Joseph Butiku, Executive Director at the Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation, and Dmitri Bondarenko, Deputy Director at the Institute for African Studies of the RAS.
