On July 6, 2016, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov had a meeting with Australian Ambassador to Russia Peter Tesch to discuss the current relations between the two countries, the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as global security matters. Special attention was given to expanding cooperation between Russian and Australian independent think tanks and universities.
