The Summer School "Youth Summit APEC objectives, priorities and perspectives" has been completed on July 7th 2012. The school was organized by Russian International Affairs Council in partnership with the Russian Research Centre of APEC and the Far Eastern Federal University. The venue of the event was the countryside at the educational and recreational complex known as "Sunny" Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public (Moscow Region).

The Summer School "Youth Summit APEC objectives, priorities and perspectives" has been completed on July 7th 2012. The school was organized by Russian International Affairs Council in partnership with the Russian Research Centre of APEC and the Far Eastern Federal University. The venue of the event was the countryside at the educational and recreational complex known as "Sunny" Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public (Moscow Region).

Twenty Five young specialists from different cities in Russia were selected for training. The program included thematic round tables on key aspects of the presidency of Russia in APEC in Vladivostok: food security, energy, transport and infrastructure, economic development, and the problems of small and medium-sized businesses.

The experts were leading Russian scientists from the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Regional Information Centre for APEC, the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and practitioners from leading companies and organizations, including the “Summa Group”, The State Nuclear Energy Corporation "Rosatom", and the Russian Grain Union.

At the final stage of the school a business game took place, which resulted in the parties submitting a draft declaration to the Russian delegation at the APEC Youth Summit to be held in September in Vladivostok.
