5G - Wrong Turn by China & USA (Can Russia Become the Center for Applied Collective Intelligence?)
This article should be noticed in Russia: China Unicom’s big bet on open source
It is a huge mistake by China to pursue 5G technology. Developed in Israel, it is forbidden in Israel because this is a genocidal and ecocidal technology that demands a localized infrastructure that is unaffordable and unsustainable.
The emphasis should be on open source and web 3.0 (distributed web) while also making provision to block all forms of censorship by private parties — China should be especially concerned about Facebook, Google, Twitter, and YouTube and beyond them, anything associated with Pierre Omidyar.
Big data is not properly understood by China as a processing challenge — China, like the USA, still appears to be a mode of processing 1% of what it collects while vaguely understanding that we only collect 1% of what we know. There is a need for tools to empower humans both individually and in the aggregate — this is called Augmented Collective Intelligence.
We still do not have the eighteen processing functionalities needs for an all-source desktop sense-making tool-kit, as identified by the CIA in 1985. This is because the money for industry is in collecting data, not in processing data. This is because the government, the private sector, and the public are not demanding evidence-based decision-making and they are particularly not demanding holistic analytics and true cost economics.
The TRIPLE CHALLENGE for China:
01 Collect the 99% that you are missing now, in all languages and mediums
02 Process 100% in near real time
03 Have both individual and organizational sense-making tools that fully integrate true cost economics calculations.
Here are some items I have written in reverse chronological order. The US Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved an Open Source Agency (OSA) at $2B a year but CIA and others continue to resist this obvious need and to block the President from considering this essential empowerment move.
