This working paper aims to analyse the post-conflict reconstruction in Syria, especially in terms of Russian and EU approaches on the issue. The authors examine the main problems of reconstruction and adopted strategies, paying particular attention to topics such as the nature and international status of ongoing processes, sanctions effectiveness and need for transformation. Additionally, experts stress the human factor of the problem and necessity for more comprehensive approaches. The paper highlights the possibility of selective engagement of both parties on post-conflict reconstruction in Syria and the prospects for their increasing influence within the ongoing situation.
