On June 25, 2015, the Federation Council of Russia’s Federal Assembly held hearing “Mechanisms for Pan-European Cooperation: Opportunities for Parliamentary Diplomacy” opened by Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachev, a RIAC member, and attended by Committee Deputy Chairman Vladimir Jabarov, Chairman of Duma Committee on CIS, Eurasian Integration and Compatriots Leonid Slutsky, MFA officials and top Russian foreign policy experts.

RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeyev presented international project Helsinki+40 implemented under the OSCE PA auspices jointly with several foreign think tanks and also briefed the audience on RIAC’s paper “Strengthening the OSCE: Building a Common Space for Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation, an Indivisible Security Community from the Atlantic to the Pacific” compiled to sum up the project outcomes and offer experts’ recommendations on the OSCE reform.
