On October 16, 2017, in London, RIAC and the Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies (RUSI) held a bilateral expert seminar on security issues.

The seminar opened the second round of Russia-UK expert seminars, the first one was held in December, 2016 within RIAC project «Defining Dialogue: How to Manage Russia-UK Security Relations». The seminar brought together Russian and British experts to discuss the key issues of reducing conventional armaments in Europe, creating crisis management mechanisms, and prospects for Russia-UK cooperation on European security issues.

Russian delegation was headed by Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General. The following Russian representatives took part in the seminar: Dmitry Trenin, RIAC member, Tatiana Bogdasarova, Program Manager, RIAC experts Sergey Utkin, Sergey Oznobishchev, Victor Mizin; Andrey Frolov, expert at Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST), and Vasily Zetsepin, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

The British side was represented by RUSI scientific staff, former officers from the UK Ministry of Defense, and European think tank representatives. The following seminar within the project framework is scheduled for mid November 2017 in Moscow.
