On April 25, 2018, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, had a meeting with Jean-Pierre Chevènement, a famous French politician, Co-Founder of modern Socialist Party, Founder and the first President (now in the Honorary Chairman status) of the Citizen and Republican Movement, visiting Moscow.

Sylvie Bermann, French Ambassador to Russia, also took part in the meeting. The following issues were discussed: the current state of Russian-French and Russian-European relations, including the upcoming visit of the French President Emmanuel Macron to Russia.
