On October 22, 2018 Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of India to Russia D.B. Venkatesh Varma. 

RIAC President Igor Ivanov and Ambassador Varma discussed pending issues of the international agenda and prospects of Russia–India partnership. They paid special attention to the opportunities for cooperation between RIAC and Indian think tanks. 

Minister (Political) of the Indian Embassy in Moscow Yojna Patel and RIAC officers  also took part in the meeting.
