On July 23, 2018, China Global Television Network (CGTN) in cooperation with South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) held a live phone-in show on the upcoming BRICS Summit in SAR.

The summit will be held on July 25-27 in Johannesburg. The leaders of Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa, as well as the leaders of Argentina, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, and Jamaica will take part in the meeting. The main theme of the summit will be cooperation in the area of economic planning in the face of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The agenda of the tenth, anniversary, summit also includes strengthening the mechanisms for multilateral cooperation between the BRICS countries and their partners (within theBRICS+ concept framework), the development of international law and global governance reforms, the role of BRICS in ensuring peace and security, increasing economical and financial stability, and establishing rules of the game in the digital space.

Experts, diplomats, businessmen, and journalists from the BRICS countries took part in the international teleconference. Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, represented Russia at the event.
