On February 23, 2016 RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov met with former Australia’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd, who is now President of the Asia Society Policy Institute, and is on a visit to Moscow.

On February 23, 2016 RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov met with former Australia’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd, who is now President of the Asia Society Policy Institute, and is on a visit to Moscow.

The sides discussed the problems of security in South Asia and in the Asia-Pacific region, primarily the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the issues of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons in Northeast Asia.

Andrey Kortunov briefed Kevin Rudd about RIAC’s current projects dealing with this subject and about Council's plans for 2016 relating to the Asia-Pacific region.
