Cause being defined as the "Action" and Affect being defined as the "Counter Action". How does current Venezuela situation become a benchmark for what not to have occur in lands where communist thought became the victorious Cause in previous years. The Counter Action that is occurring is always going to occur if "The Intersection Of Progress & Tradition" do not merge along time tables to which societies people's evolve to in the Economic, Political & Religious Sectors of Society. Traditional control In these sectors is a Cause. When societies of such control have moved in the sectors to the intersection of progress and tradition, even while colluding the sectors there is less chance for such violent Counter Action and more chance for peaceful transition for the society. When traditional control societies are moving to the intersection, if those who are progressive turn to violence then they become the Cause (anarchy, chaos, violence, destruction of property) to which the Counter Action crackdown on the anarchist is legitimate as they are not peaceful protestors for evolvement & change in the 3 sectors.

Venezuela government was the Cause and continues to be, so much of the unrest that is violent will more than likely continue as Venezuela waited too long to move their society towards the intersection of progress and tradition. So the people are not the Cause in this case. In America you will see that progressives are the Cause as they have the most freedoms of any in the world and their current protestors are anarchist, who have no problem with violence or destruction of property which has created the Counter Action of society to become more traditional. Societies move on the pendulum to support Counter Action regardless of which side of society creates the Cause when violence and destructive behavior are seen to be for selfish or Historical Justice actions.

As isolationism starts to be me the norm, the Venezuela benchmark will become the norm for nations that do not move their societies towards the intersection of progress and tradition in the Economic, Political & Religious Sectors. Free societies have the opposite problem to watch out for during this period. Police states and martial law will become the norm as free people abuse their freedom and infringe on others rights by causing violence, chaos and destructive behavior out of frustration due to isolationism.
